Hi there,
Welcome to the first Work Your Own Way Wednesday. This is the first of a new rhythm I’m trying - a weekly moment to pause, reflect, and reconnect with your way of working.
There are two things here for you:
An audio with a grounding moment.
A couple of reflection prompts.
These have been useful spaces in our monthly community calls and I thought - why not make it more regular, and weave it into each week?
I’ve also got stuck in a habit of making longer content - the community call walkthroughs can be long posts, and the video up to 30 minutes to watch back.
I know that it can be hard to make that kind of time!
So these are:
Shorter bite size posts that you can work with right now in 5 minutes.
Plus a little audio from me - Up to 10 minutes that you can listen to in headphones at your desk or by taking a moment to step away.
Let me know what you think! And if you’re already for the next one of these already….!
Work Your Own Way Reflection Prompts.
You need: A notebook or digital journal.
You don’t need to do anything fancy — just take 3–5 minutes to check in with yourself. A breath, a scribble, then maybe a gaze out of the window for five minutes or a walk around the block. Trust that’s enough.
This week, I’m inviting you to ask: What does Work My Own Way mean to me this week?
Extra prompts:
👉 What’s working for you right now — in your rhythm, in your focus, in your energy? What feels good, in your brain and your body? Where are you thinking - yes, this feels like ‘working my own way’.
👉 What is really not working for you right now - in your activity, in your approach, in your interactions? What sucks right now? What feels stuck, trapped, or icky?
